everything that torques your jaw and makes you grind your

Well, I have one. Maybe no one
will read it, but just think of the fun I'll have letting it all come
out in cyberspace!

I
took this page down just short of a year ago. I
started a
blog, but no one seemed to visit it, so I took it down as
well. I've decided to come back with an opinion page.
Why not? I have opinions, and I have a platform, so why not,
I ask you?
But - is an opinion page relevant to a boxing
website? No. Does that matter? Not to
me. Why? Because if I cared what anyone thinks, I
would do everything differently, including the entire boxing
website. I do it the way I do because it is what I want to
do....and I'm doing this opinion page for the same reason.
When something of interest comes to mind and I have comments to make,
I'll make them here. I'll read them. Maybe you
won't. Ask me how much I care.
I have no qualms about being in the minority when it comes to my
perspective on things. I am not among those who believe that
something is made right by virtue of the number of people who think it
or believe it. Nor am I among those who seek to gain monetary
advantage by giving everyone everything they want. To do
that, one must be a fiduciary whore. I'm not one of
those. There are plenty of people who are, you can find them
and their websites all over the internet, regardless of what they
sell. They'll do anything to get your money. Hey -
maybe they need it that badly, I really can't say...but I don't.
If
you visit this page from time to time you are going to read things that
make you mad, even furious. Things that don't fit your
worldview. Things that are in stark contrast to the social
propaganda you've been fed since you first started going to public
schools. Things you have always believed were true, because
someone told you they were - and that made those things your
truth. Not many people stand back from what they've been
taught and consider it objectively or with critical analysis.
If your high school teacher or university professor taught it to you,
it MUST be true, right? Because somehow, they know...after
all, they learned it from people who think exactly the way they do!
So get ready for a ride. From time to time I am going to come
to this page and blab words of shocking opinion that will melt your
socks to your feet.
