BOXING'S HISTORIC BATTLES
The
emphasis of this presentation from 1994 seems to be the political
climate and racial attitudes surrounding the sport in its early history,
though the title might leave you expecting something more along the
lines of bruising punchouts. There is interesting film footage and
lots of commentary by writers glorified as "boxing historians".
Seemed more like a racial apology and propaganda
to me, but I'm not a "boxing historian"...until I declare myself to be
one, like all the other "boxing historians" out there. Where do
you get your degree in "boxing history", anyway?
